What is the basic
plot of Radicals?
It’s set in
apocalyptic America, and Communism has taken total hold on the country.
Christianity has become illegal, as well as freedom of speech, gun ownership,
homeschooling. Freedom is basically no more. Two families have to survive in
the wilderness to keep from being caught and arrested by the government as
their parents were. The story is about their struggle to survive, to trust God,
and to learn to work with each other and value one another deeper.
When will filming
take place?
This is currently to be announced. We're too early in on the production process to know yet.
Where will filming take place?
North Central Florida - within Marion and Alachua county. Official filming locations have yet to be determined but they will likely be in the Gainesville/Ocala areas.
What kind of
people are we looking for to act in Radicals?
ALL ages and ethnicities are welcome!
How much will be expected of actors/participants?
If you are given a major role in the film, you will be expected to show up at each film session that requires your presence. Filming will take place in under two weeks and this will involve film sessions Monday-Friday for those two weeks. Whether your role is big or small, you will be expected to maintain a professional and Godly example.
What is the purpose of Radicals?
Ultimately, to glorify the Maker! Secondly, to encourage fellow Christians in their walk with the Lord. So much perversion is promoted in the secular media and Hollywood, and we wish to combat this by utilizing technology and the theatrical arts to glorify God instead of the devil.
We also hope that through God's grace this film may touch those who are not yet saved, pointing them to Christ.
Are actors
compensated/reimbursed?
It’s a volunteer-based
project at the moment until we can raise greater funds.
What do we need
help with in Radicals?
Primarily,
actors. But we are also looking for
cinematographers, photographers and people to help with behind-the-scenes
details like lighting, sound and marketing/distribution among other things.
Will there be any
official audition dates?
Currently auditions are booked separately and individually, on a one-on-one basis with the director.
Who is involved in
this project?
Primarily, teens. Also, adults and some children. Whoever
we can get to help us pull this off professionally.
How long will the
film be?
We’re predicting about 2 hours long.
